Synterra Media, a digital partner in the production, processing, and delivery of media content, is transitioning its National Media Network to Russian-made equipment. Acceptance testing has been successfully completed for the domestic adaptation equipment «Agat», designed for transmitting professional TV signals over IP networks.

«Agat» is a fully Russian solution for media content delivery, developed by Stream Labs in partnership with Synterra Media. The equipment is based on FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) technology. Unlike software-hardware complexes (SHCs), FPGA-based equipment offers higher performance and increased reliability.

This solution is a key component of Synterra Media's National Media Network, enabling the live broadcasting of significant national, public, and regional events on federal TV channels. The equipment will also be used for delivering TV programs to regional TV operator networks and facilitating inter-studio TV program exchanges across the country. «Agat» enhances network reliability by supporting the SMPTE 2022/7 standard and reduces delays in TV stream delivery using the JPEG-XS codec.
